I tend to prefer cold soaking when hiking, so this stove mainly gets used on day trips. In those situations, even heating mattered more to me than saving weight. That’s why I chose this model with the larger burner instead of a lighter one — it works much better with the MSR Pot Set and my frying pan. Since I rarely carry them far from the van anyway, the extra weight is worth it for the performance.
