This is my go-to jacket that sits in the backpack just in case. It works as a standalone piece in summer, yet is large enough to serve as a shell over my down jacket in winter. I wanted to experience how cotton works as a wind jacket. While it looks better than technical jackets, it does not pack as small and creates some friction over wool.
