This packable wind jacket is my go-to jacket that sits in the backpack just in case. It works as a standalone piece in summer, yet it’s large enough to serve as a shell over my down jacket in winter. Since my waterproof jacket is an anorak and is less practical, I even tend to use this in light rain with my umbrella.
I wanted to see how cotton works as a wind jacket, but it does not glide on wool as well as I would like - creating some friction. A silk lining would likely solve this.
For some reason Patagonia decided to make the hem too short and forgot to add a drawcord, so I had to fix those issues myself.
Fabric: 100% organic cotton ripstop with PFAS-free DWR finish Modification: Added 2 cm to the hem and a drawcord Color: Ink Black Weight: 286 g
