As someone who likes more warmth on the upper body than the lower, I like boosting my silk duvet with one or two summer-weight kids duvets when teperatures drop. The silk provides overall temperature regulation and comforting weight, while the down adds warmth where needed. I have sown in a few buttons to keep the down in place, usually in a t-shape.
